Most of the “how to use the program” details within this manual are aimed at describing the GUI version of PASSaGE. Descriptions and references to windows, buttons, etc., clearly only apply to this version. However, an effort has been made to always describe the batch equivalent and point out the (few) differences between the GUI and CMD version wherever appropriate. Some special information about the CMD version can be found in Chapter 6, along with full details about the batch scripts you would use with it. It should be noted that the GUI version can also run batch scripts, either from within the GUI interface or from the command-line.
The main GUI executable is simply PASSaGE.exe. The CMD executables are PASSaGE_xxxx where xxxx indicates the operating system (win, win64, linux, macppc, or mac386; feel free to locally rename the program to something more convenient if you wish). PASSaGE can be run by clicking on the PASSaGE icon , by entering the executable name at a command prompt, or by inclusion within a DOS batch file or similar command line script.
